This doesn't work for me.
CCP, let me know when you get this fixed in a definitive manner, please. I've hard shut down 6 times already so I think that's enough for one day.

COINCIDENCE?!? lolololololololol
Typical life lesson. The smart people who actually run a good OS in superior hardware get the shaft while MS users and their next to useless PC's get all the support. ie - the herd gets the most grass.

Users/<your username>/Library/Preferences/Eve Online Preferences/p_drive/Local Settings/Application Data/CCP/EVE/c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility/settings/all files
Then I ran the Eve repair tool and bingo it finally loaded to the main login screen. Downloaded patch and updated and its working. Still taking 2 minutes to get the login screen so I'm sure there is issues but I'm in.
Good luck fellow macs and please post if it works for you too :)
Thanks This worked for me. OS X 10.5.8 up and running.
Working for me as well. OSX 10.5.8 Downloading second update now, letcha know how it goes. Edit : Worked after second update as well, however still taking aprox. 2 minutes to go from black screen to login.
Matthias Howe don't bother coming back.
**** you *******. Nobody asked for your antisocial bull****. I'll see you in space. ****. CCP can fix it. Not my problem. ****.

I don't know why some of you seem to take it as an insult that we want to fix the mechanism by which you can get assistance as quickly as possible.
On to the issue at hand, it seems that something in the way we implemented AA is having an adverse effect on many users running OS X version 10.5.8 which I can totally understand people being irate over. We will attempt to pinpoint the issue so we can fix it but I honestly don't know how long that will take, if you want a quick solution I suggest an OS upgrade since we very likely will have to drop support for 10.5.x at some point in 2011 anyway. I know that isn't the ideal way to tackle this, and I will be pushing for a fix regardless, but the quickest solution is worth mentioning.
Could some of the people running into this please file bug reports with logs as per the instructions here: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Mac_bug_reporting#Writing_a_Mac_Bug_Report
Please prefix the report title with "2LL:" for "2 minute Leopard loading" to help me find them quickly.
I'll make a deal with you, you guys get this fixed, and I'll upgrade to 10.6. I understand CCP can't devote thir staff to players part of a limited market share. Previous angry posts I made were under the influence of a fine Argentine wine, and I apologize. Just very frustrated right now.

Perhaps I misunderstood. Are you saying that if we upgrade to 10.6 we can avoid the logging in problems/black screen as well as the anti-aliasing problems?

My Bestbuy didn't have any operating systems for sale at all - nuts. I'm just going to keep my sub cancelled until they fix all the problems and forget about Eve for awhile.

If I upgrade to 10.6 and it doesn't work, I'm going to sue the **** out of CCP. Maybe you guys oughta start charging for expansions if you can't get your crap together. You say you support mac, but you don't. You say you're going stop supporting a mac version released less than two years ago, and yet you don't warn ANYONE that the expansion is going to need you to upgrade to 10.6? Are you all ******ed? Is that it? And people wonder why western companies have problems competing?
**** it, I'm 36 years old, have a good job and education. I should have my head checked for putting up with this crap. I'm going to assume from now on that you're all morons despite what I thought before. Bah, humbug. Happy Christmas, jackholes.
